Helping international NGOs, donors, and academic institutions translate complex health evidence into high-impact strategy, policy and funding decisions.
Organisations rarely struggle because they lack data. They struggle because they need the right evidence to answer donor questions, demonstrate impact and make strategic decisions. My work helps organisations evaluate programmes, generate strategic evidence, shape policy and communicate complex findings with clarity. I support NGOs, governments, international organisations and consultancies to make evidence-informed decisions that strengthen programmes, secure funding and drive meaningful impact.
Hi, I'm Dr. Maíra Fedatto.
I'm an independent global health consultant specialising in evidence generation, evaluation and strategy. I work with NGOs, governments, international organisations and consultancies to answer complex questions, strengthen programmes and generate evidence that informs better decisions.
Originally trained as a journalist before completing a PhD in International Relations at King's College London and the University of São Paulo, I combine analytical research with clear communication. My work sits at the intersection of evidence, policy and implementation, helping organisations navigate complex global health challenges with clarity and confidence.
Over the past decade, I've worked across academia, international organisations and the non-profit sector, leading research, evaluation and strategic initiatives spanning global health governance, health systems strengthening, health financing and global surgery. Whether designing an evaluation framework, developing donor-focused evidence or translating complex findings into practical recommendations, my focus is always the same: generating evidence that supports better decisions.
Alongside my consultancy work, I write about global health policy, financing and governance for professional and public audiences. My work includes commissioned articles, policy reports, opinion pieces and thought leadership, translating complex evidence into accessible ideas that inform debate and decision-making.
I believe that better global health policy begins with rigorous evidence, clear thinking and the ability to communicate complex ideas beyond academia.

A monthly note on global health governance, financing and policy — written for practitioners, not just academics.
We design and deliver independent evaluations that go beyond compliance, turning project data into actionable insights for donors, boards and programme leads. Whether you need a mid-term review or a robust Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework, we ensure your interventions generate credible evidence of progress, outcomes and impact.
We generate the rigorous evidence organisations need to answer complex policy, funding and programme questions. Combining primary research with systematic synthesis of existing evidence, we turn fragmented information into credible evidence bases that inform decisions, strengthen programmes and support funding priorities.
We help international NGOs, foundations and academic institutions translate complex evidence into strategy, policy positioning and funding priorities. From health systems strengthening to global health governance, we connect organisational priorities with the wider policy and funding landscape.
We translate technical research, evaluation findings and complex health data into clear, persuasive communications for decision-makers. From executive summaries to commissioned articles, we make evidence accessible, credible and relevant to the audiences that matter.
