Research informs policy. Politics shapes outcomes. Clear communication bridges the gap.
Global health decisions are rarely driven by evidence alone. They are shaped by politics, institutions and competing priorities. My work helps organisations navigate that complexity. Through research, strategic analysis and clear communication, I support governments, NGOs and international organisations to translate evidence into strategy, policy and action.
Dr. Maíra Fedatto is an independent global health policy consultant, researcher and writer, and founder of MF Global Health.
Originally trained as a journalist before completing a PhD in international relations, her work bridges evidence, politics and communication, helping organisations understand not only what works in global health, but why policy succeeds or fails in practice.
Over the past decade, she has worked across academia, international organisations and global health NGOs, including UNESCO, Kids Operating Room and Global Health Partnerships (formerly THET), leading research, shaping advocacy strategies and translating complex evidence into practical recommendations for policymakers and global health leaders.
She believes that better global health policy begins with rigorous evidence, clear thinking and the ability to communicate complex ideas beyond academia.
